The Role
-Prepare detailed architectural, structural, and interior design drawings in line with project requirements and specifications.
-Convert conceptual sketches and site measurements into accurate AutoCAD or Revit drawings for approval and construction.
-Assist architects, engineers, and project managers in preparing design layouts, elevations, and detailed sections.
-Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, building codes, and company drafting guidelines.
-Maintain and update drawing records, revisions, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
-Coordinate with site teams to gather information, verify measurements, and incorporate changes or as-built details.
-Prepare shop drawings, joinery details, and construction drawings required for interior and fit-out projects.
-Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to ensure technical accuracy and design compatibility.
-Support the project estimation and quantity surveying teams by providing accurate drawing information and measurements.
-Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project schedules and support smooth project execution.
The Person:
-National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Drafting Technology, -CAD, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
-Minimum 2 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably in construction, architectural, or interior design projects.
-Proven experience in preparing architectural and detailed construction drawings.
-Experience in interior fit-out, showroom layouts, or retail space design will be an added advantage.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant drafting/design software.
-Sound knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and technical drawing standards.
-Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
-Good communication and coordination skills.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
