Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Annual Financial Statements
- Handling payments, general ledger updates, fixed assets register, and bank reconciliations
- Managing site staff payroll and related duties
- Coordinating with project sites and conducting site visits when required
- Liaising with banks, auditors, company secretaries, and other statutory & non-statutory bodies
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Executive Level (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Knowledge of accounting standards (SLFRS/LKAS) and accounting principles
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an audit firm (experience in the mercantile sector will be an added advantage)
- Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in accounting software packages and MS Office
- Excellent communication skills in both Sinhala and English
- Outgoing personality with the ability to work long hours when necessary
