Manager, Property Development
The office of the Diocese of Colombo seeks to employ a Manager of Property Development who will be responsible for developing and managing the churches, buildings, and land owned by the Diocese.
The responsibilities of the office include the following functions:
Maintaining an inventory of all properties held by the Bishop of Colombo and the Incorporated
Trustees of the Church of Ceylon.
Ensuring compliance with local government regulations regarding assessment tax and other levies in respect of all properties.
Surveying properties where necessary and identifying potential boundary disputes.
Inspecting properties periodically and securing premises wherever necessary.
Formulating plans for developing properties which are idle and optimizing usage and return.
Monitoring construction and /or renovations undertaken by the Diocese.
Formulating procedures for executing development work, which includes liaising with architects,
engineers, quantity surveyors and building contractors.
Contract and Agreement Management.
The ideal candidate should have experience in managing properties and exposure to land development
and construction. The right candidate should be prepared to travel extensively within Sri Lanka and be prompt in reporting to committees appointed by the Diocese. The nature of work will be ideally suited for a person below 60 years of age.
Salary and compensation will be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
