Job Description :
* To meet production targets by operating plant machinery in an effective and efficient manner, manufacturing high-quality products in line with the production plan and product specifications.
* To safely and efficiently operate of all manufacturing equipment by understanding and following established operating processes, procedures workflows and standards.
* To maximize machine utilisation/reduce lost machine time by troubleshooting basic mechanical systems and making minor repairs using simple hand tools.
* To maximise machine production/reduce lost machine time by promptly.
* Achieving targeted production.
* Minimum scrap generation.
* Reporting and raising breakdown reports to ensure swift correction of machine breakdowns following consultation with his Shift Supervisor.
* To promote cost-effectiveness of production by running a small sample trial of the job card, having it checked and approved by Quality Control prior to starting mass production runs.
* To enable effective and efficient completion of each job by ensuring that all cable and materials requisitions are processed in a proper and prompt manner and that all materials are stored in designated and easily accessible areas.
* To ensure up-to-date documentation by starting completion of all related documents pertaining to IMS and production while the job is running and by accurately completing daily record sheets, entering the parameters used (e.g. temperatures, settings, materials used)
* To ensure operational effectiveness and achievement of production targets by promptly raising and resolving with his Shift Supervisor any changes or issues which could hinder effective/efficient production and on-time/on quality job completion ).
* To follow the relevant MSDS for the hazardous materials.
* To follow the OHS risk assessment & environmental aspect/impact review control measures in his activities/works location.
* To use identified PPE's for his activities/works location.
* To collects scrap/waste in the relevant bins.
Machine Operation: Ability to operate and control cable manufacturing machinery, such as extrusion lines, stranding machines, jacketing machines, and more.
Basic Maintenance: Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and maintenance of machines to ensure smooth operation.
Quality Control: Ability to inspect the final product, ensuring the correct size, insulation thickness, and other quality specifications are met.
