Ceylon Cloud Technologies (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an experienced, target-driven, and highly motivated Business Development Manager to promote and sell our ERP, accounting, inventory, payroll, POS, mobile application, cloud, and customized software solutions.
The selected candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, understanding customer requirements, presenting suitable software solutions, closing sales, coordinating implementations, conducting training, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify potential clients and generate leads through social media, networking, referrals, cold calling, direct visits, and business events.
* Understand customer business processes, operational challenges, and software requirements.
* Recommend suitable ERP modules and customized software solutions.
* Conduct professional online and onsite software demonstrations, presentations, and client meetings.
* Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, agreements, and sales opportunities.
* Negotiate pricing and commercial terms, close sales, and achieve assigned revenue targets.
* Coordinate with technical teams during software configuration, customization, implementation, and deployment.
* Support customer onboarding, software training, testing, and go-live activities.
* Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
* Identify opportunities for additional modules, upgrades, renewals, and support services.
* Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, presentations, quotations, follow-ups, and sales activities.
* Prepare regular sales reports and support digital marketing and lead-generation campaigns.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
* A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in ERP, SaaS, software solutions, or IT solution sales is compulsory.
* Previous experience in B2B software sales, business development, client relationship management, product demonstrations, negotiations, and sales closing is mandatory.
* Candidates without relevant software industry experience and the required minimum experience will not be considered.
* Proven ability to generate leads, conduct presentations, negotiate with clients, and close sales.
* Good understanding of ERP-related processes, including accounting, inventory, sales, purchasing, payroll, HR, POS, customer management, reporting, and business automation.
* Ability to understand customer problems and recommend suitable software-based solutions.
* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, customer-service, and relationship-management skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in Sinhala and English.
* Ability to explain technical concepts in simple business language.
* Ability to work independently, meet assigned targets, and travel for client meetings, demonstrations, implementations, and training.
Preferred Qualifications
* A degree or professional qualification in Business Management, Marketing, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field.
* Experience with ERP, POS, accounting, payroll, microfinance, hotel management, or customized software systems.
* Experience in social media marketing and digital lead generation.
* A valid driving licence.
* Existing business contacts and a strong professional network.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be target-oriented, self-motivated, professional, and confident when meeting business owners and senior decision-makers. The candidate should have strong consultative selling, negotiation, follow-up, and sales-closing skills, with the ability to manage the complete customer lifecycle from lead generation to long-term retention.
