About NORVI Controllers
NORVI Controllers designs and manufactures industrial IoT hardware exported to Europe and North America. Our products are CE/EMC/RED certified and used in real industrial automation projects worldwide. We design and build from our facility in Midigama, Weligama, and have been shipping internationally since 2014.
The Role
We are looking for a Trainee Electronics Engineer to work on embedded systems design, control system design, and technical solutions development. This is a design and solutions role — not a production or testing position.
You will work on real engineering problems: understanding application requirements, designing embedded system solutions, and contributing to the development of control and automation applications. Over time, you will grow into a solutions architect role — designing technical solutions around customer industrial challenges.
What You Will Do
• Work on embedded systems design and control system development projects
• Analyse technical requirements and contribute to designing hardware and firmware solutions
• Design, prototype, and test embedded system configurations for industrial automation applications
• Develop and document technical solutions — circuit designs, system architecture, and application notes
• Support the preparation of technical responses and solution documentation
• Research industrial automation applications and contribute to technical content development
What We Are Looking For
• Degree or HND in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• Solid foundation in electronics — circuit theory, microcontrollers, digital and analog systems
• Understanding of or strong interest in embedded systems, control systems, and industrial automation
• Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based projects — from coursework, personal projects, or industrial training
• Logical, problem-solving approach to engineering challenges
• Good written English — you will contribute to technical documentation
• Genuinely curious about industrial systems and motivated to build real solutions

Location
Our facility is in Midigama, Weligama, Southern Province. This is a full-time, on-site role. Candidates from the Southern Province are strongly encouraged to apply.
