Position Type: Full-time (6 days a week)
Meals Provided: 3 meals daily
Age Group: 20 - 35 Years

Alma Hostel is a vibrant and welcoming tourist hostel in the heart of Colombo. We’re more than just a place to sleep – we’re a hub for young travelers seeking connection, fun, and local adventures. To keep the energy flowing and operations smooth, we’re on the lookout for a dedicated Hostel Manager to join our team.
🌟 Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Check-ins, Guests Communicatio & Hospitality
• Welcome guests, assist with check-ins, and show them around the hostel.
• Reply to all guests messages and their questions and concerns.
• Share information about hostel activities, Colombo’s nightlife, food hotspots, and experiences.
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and helpful presence at all times.
2. Daily Accounts & Cash Handling
• Maintain and update income/outgoing accounts and cashier details daily.
• Use a provided laptop to input data – must be viewable by the directors in real time.
3. Hostel Cleanliness Oversight
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure all areas (dorms, toilets, public spaces) are checked twice a day.
• Personally supervise and ensure high standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
4. Staff Management
• Lead and manage the housekeeping and support staff.
• Ensure smooth daily operations and maintain a neat, well-presented hostel environment at the start of each day and by 4PM.
5. Administrative & Technical Tasks
• Use computers for record keeping, updates, and communication.
• Be familiar with basic software and online tools for hostel management.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must.
• Strong interpersonal skills – friendly, energetic, and people-oriented.
• Basic computer skills and basic accounting knowledge.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Preferably female candidates.
• Previous experience in hospitality or hostel environments is a plus.
📅 Working Schedule:
• 6 days a week
• 3 full meals provided daily
