Responsibilities:
• Oversee and delegate tasks to construction workers and subcontractors
• Ensure that workers follow health and safety regulations, and that the project adheres to building codes
• Keep track of the project's progress, and resolve any issues that arise
• Keep accurate records of project progress, including work schedules, materials used, and costs
• Ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget
• Inspect work to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and deliveries
Qualifications:
• NVQ Level 4 or 5 in site supervisor or similar qualification
• Minimum of 1-2 years of site supervisor experience working in construction, preferably as a site supervisor or in a similar role. Some site supervisors start as construction workers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and proficiency in MS Office and relevant software
• The ability to multitask, make informed decisions, and solve problems pro-actively. A commitment to safety and quality is also important.
