Sales Executive

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Executive to join our gems and jewellery showroom. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for gemstones and fine jewellery, and the ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience while meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist customers in selecting gemstones and jewellery items based on their needs and preferences.

• Provide detailed product knowledge, including gemstone types, quality, origin, and certification.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current jewellery trends and new product arrivals.

• Prepare and present quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales effectively.

• Build long-term customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Handle billing, packaging, and documentation for sales transactions.

• Ensure showroom displays are neat, attractive, and properly stocked.

• Collaborate with the management team to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Follow up with potential clients and manage repeat customer inquiries.

• Attend training sessions and stay informed about new collections and gem-related updates.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in jewellery or luxury retail sales (preferred).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good understanding of gemstones, jewellery materials, and precious metals (training can be provided).

• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages (Sinhala/Tamil/Japanese/Chinese) is an advantage.

• Pleasant personality, well-groomed appearance, and professional attitude.

• Basic computer skills (POS systems, MS Office).
