About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Production Manager to take charge of our garment manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate is a "Target Hitter"—someone who can manage the pressure of urgent deadlines and ensure that our production lines run efficiently to meet the continuous demands.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Target Achievement:
Meet Showroom Demands: Directly responsible for ensuring all orders from our showrooms are produced and delivered on time.
Target Monitoring: Set hourly and daily production targets for the lines and ensure they are hit without failure.
Schedule Management: Plan the production floor schedule based on incoming fabric availability and showroom release dates.
2. Production Line Management:
Line Balancing: Organize the production line layout to maximize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
Workflow Optimization: Oversee the entire process from cutting to finishing/packing, ensuring a smooth flow of garments.
Problem Solving: Immediately address technical issues or material shortages that could delay the line.
3. Manpower & Resource Management:
Team Leadership: Supervise supervisors, line leaders, and machine operators. Motivate the team to maintain high morale and productivity.
Discipline & Attendance: Manage labor attendance and discipline to ensure the factory runs at full capacity.
Cost Control: Minimize wastage of fabric and accessories during the production process.
4. Quality Assurance:
Ensure all finished goods meet the company’s quality standards before being sent to the showrooms.
Minimize the rejection rate (re-works) on the line.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager in the Garment/Apparel industry.
Education: Degree/Diploma in related field is preferred.
Skills:
Strong command of Sinhala (for floor management)
Technical knowledge of sewing machines and garment construction.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
