Chief Accountant in Bambalapitiya

# 💼 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈ON : CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a Chief Accountant who will oversee all financial aspects of the Non Profit’s operations, including budgeting, book-keeping, reporting and internal controls. This individual will work closely with other departments to achieve the trust's goals and objectives within a framework of financial control and discipline.

# 💠 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 :

Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the trust.

Maintain accurate and up to date accounting records using Tally or other financial system.

Manage the process for recording, approving and paying all Trust expenses on a timely basis.

Prepare the monthly payroll including EPF, ETF and related compliance procedures. Maintain personnel files for all employees.

Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports and analysis for the executive team and board of trustees.

Monitor and manage the trust's cash flow and investments.

Develop and maintain budgets.

Ensure compliance with financial audit, tax, VAT and related legal requirements. Prepare tax returns and other financial filings as applicable.

# 💠 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 :

Should be a Part qualified accountant

Should have 3 years related work experience including book-keeping and financial management

Experience with Tally or similar accounting package

Fluent in spoken and written English
