Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to help grow MynaNest’s business network, community partnerships, advertising opportunities, and user base. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, onboarding businesses, building relationships with community organizations, and supporting the growth of MynaNest as a trusted digital platform for the Sri Lankan community worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and contact local businesses, service providers, professionals, event organizers, and community groups to join MynaNest.
Promote business listings, advertising packages, featured promotions, job postings, event postings, and partnership opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, community leaders, sponsors, and advertisers.
Explain MynaNest’s platform features, benefits, and marketing opportunities to potential clients.
Support business onboarding, profile setup, content collection, and promotional campaign coordination.
Develop sales strategies to increase registrations, paid listings, advertisements, and community engagement.
Conduct market research and identify new opportunities in Canada, Sri Lanka, and global Sri Lankan diaspora markets.
Work with the marketing and product team to improve user experience, business visibility, and customer satisfaction.
Track leads, follow-ups, conversions, and business development performance.
Represent MynaNest professionally at meetings, events, community programs, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
Experience in business development, sales, marketing, customer relations, or community outreach.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to contact businesses, explain services clearly, and close partnership opportunities.
Good understanding of social media, digital marketing, online directories, or community platforms.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
Fluent English communication required. Tamil and/or Sinhala language skills are an asset.
Experience working with small businesses, community organizations, advertisers, or event organizers is preferred.
Valid driver’s licence and ability to attend meetings or community events is an asset.
