ASSISTANT PHARMACIST AND CASHIER

About the Role

To assist in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy while ensuring accurate cashiering, excellent customer service, and efficient patient care.

Key Job Responsibilities

- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications and providing accurate information to patients.

- Assist with filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions.

- Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately.

- Issue official receipts and maintain accurate cash and sales records.

- Greet patients, answer inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.

- Order, receive, restock, and monitor pharmaceutical products, including checking expiry dates.

- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with pharmacy safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

- GCE O/L and A/L qualifications.

- Certificate or Diploma in Pharmacy will be an added advantage.

- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.

- Previous cashiering or POS experience will be an added advantage.

- Proficiency in Sinhala, Tamil, and basic computer literacy.

Salary

- Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 75,000 per month
