Job Description:
Kumara Group of Company (PVT) Ltd is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead and enhance our financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and process improvements to modernize and optimize our accounting systems.
The role demands a proactive approach to restructuring workflows, improving efficiency, and implementing best practices to align with business growth. Experience in VAT/SVAT handling, budgeting, and managing financial records is essential. Leadership skills, attention to detail, and fluency in English communication are key attributes for success in this role.
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as AAT, ACA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Prior experience in buying and selling within a large-scale industry is highly preferred.
• Proven expertise in handling VAT and SVAT processes.
Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage invoices, payroll, and financial records accurately.
• Ability to drive change by introducing modern accounting systems and ensuring a smooth transition from manual record-keeping.
• Demonstrated ability to manipulate the English language effectively for reporting and communication.
• Strong leadership qualities with the capability to restructure accounting processes and implement ERP software.
