WE ARE HIRING: Recovery Manager
Cashray is a reputed financial services company based in Colombo 05. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional from the Banking and Financial Services sector to join our team as Recovery Manager.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise the recovery team to achieve monthly and annual collection targets.
• Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies and workflows.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify accounts requiring special attention or escalation.
• Ensure proper allocation of cases among Recovery Specialists and field officers.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training, guidance, and motivation to the recovery staff.
• Handle escalated customer issues and negotiate complex recovery arrangements.
• Coordinate with legal teams for legal recovery actions when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and prepare management reports on recovery performance, aging, and outstanding balances.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all legal and regulatory requirements related to debt recovery.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance recovery efficiency and reduce bad debts.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in debt recovery, collections, or credit control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven track record in managing recovery teams and achieving performance targets.
• Strong knowledge of billing procedures, collection techniques, and legal frameworks related to recovery.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Sinhala. (Tamil proficiency will be an advantage.)
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make informed decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office and database systems.
• High level of integrity, leadership skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven personality.
