Transport Coordinator

We’re seeking a proactive and organized Transport Coordinator to manage our growing fleet operations and ensure seamless guest experiences across all our tour routes. You’ll be the central point coordinating drivers, vehicles, and third-party vendors to deliver exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet & Driver Management: Coordinate and schedule our vehicle fleet and driver teams to ensure optimal coverage for daily safari tours and transfers

Guest Coordination: Manage precise pickup times, locations, and schedules for guests traveling from Ella, Colombo, South Coast destinations (Tangalle, Hiriketiya, Galle, Mirissa), and Arugam Bay

Route Planning: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of key tourism areas and routes throughout Sri Lanka, particularly between Ella, Tissamaharama, coastal regions, and national park zones

Vendor Management: Liaise with external transport vendors and partners to ensure service quality and availability during peak periods

System Operation: Utilize our ERP system to track bookings, vehicle assignments, driver schedules, and maintain accurate transport records

Problem Solving: Respond quickly to last-minute changes, delays, or logistics challenges to maintain service excellence

Quality Control: Monitor service standards and guest feedback related to transport operations

Requirements

Essential:

∙ Strong organizational and time management skills

∙ Excellent communication abilities in English (additional languages advantageous)

∙ Computer literacy and ability to learn ERP/booking management systems

∙ Understanding of Sri Lankan geography, particularly tourism routes between Ella, Tissamaharama, Colombo, and southern coastal areas

∙ Flexibility to work irregular hours during peak seasons

∙ Must be based in or willing to relocate to Tissamaharama

Preferred:

∙ Prior experience in transport coordination, logistics, or tour operations

∙ Familiarity with tourism industry practices

∙ Driver license (beneficial but not mandatory)

∙ Experience with booking platforms (GetYourGuide, Viator, TripAdvisor)
