Dad Thai is looking for a Trainee Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, develop their culinary skills, and grow within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
What You’ll Do
Assist with the preparation and cooking of Thai dishes according to our recipes and standards
Learn proper food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
Assist senior chefs during service
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion sizes
Ensure food preparation areas and equipment are kept clean and organized
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Assist with stock handling and kitchen preparation
Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services
Support the kitchen team wherever required
What We’re Looking For
Previous kitchen experience is an advantage, but freshers with the right attitude are welcome
Genuine interest in cooking and learning
Willingness to learn Thai cuisine and our cooking standards
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, disciplined and punctual
Good personal hygiene and attention to cleanliness
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required
What We Offer
💰 Salary: LKR 40,000 – 60,000
Based on experience, skills and suitability.
