*Role Overview*
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage daily inventory operations in our seafood storage and distribution facilities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate stock control, proper storage practices, and smooth coordination with operations and dispatch teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily inventory control using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles
* Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, and balances
* Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of seafood products
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies
* Coordinate with purchasing, production, and dispatch teams
* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in storage areas
* Conduct periodic stock counts and audits
* Operate and update ERP systems / computer-based inventory systems
* Supervise loading and unloading of goods where required
Minimum Qualifications
G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) qualification (minimum)
Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, inventory or ERP systems)
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience as a storekeeper or inventory controller (seafood or FMCG preferred)
Certification or training in inventory management, warehousing, or logistics
Higher education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field
Experience working in cold storage or food-grade environments
Key Skills & Attributes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and under operational pressure
Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices
Honest, reliable, and disciplined
