We are looking for a proactive and organised Sales & Partnerships Assistant to support landlord onboarding, tourism content development, local partnerships, and YAKA Island product sales.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will help YAKA grow by identifying new landlord opportunities, supporting property onboarding, building a tourist location catalogue for our planned voice-guide service, and assisting with sales of YAKA Island branded products.
This role is suitable for someone confident, target-driven, organised, and interested in hospitality, tourism, sales, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Landlord Onboarding
* Identify potential landlords and property owners suitable for YAKA Residences.
* Contact landlords and explain YAKA’s property management model.
* Arrange property visits and meetings with the management team.
* Collect property information, photos, location details, and owner expectations.
* Maintain a landlord lead tracker with contact details, status, follow-up dates, and next actions.
* Support onboarding documentation and follow-ups.
Tourism Location Catalogue
* Research tourist attractions, cultural sites, temples, beaches, viewpoints, restaurants, local experiences, and hidden gems across Sri Lanka.
* Build structured location profiles for YAKA’s planned voice-guide service.
* Collect key information such as GPS location, opening hours, ticket prices, parking, accessibility, toilets, best time to visit, safety notes, and nearby facilities.
* Help prepare content notes that can later be converted into voice-guide scripts.
* Verify information through online research, phone calls, field visits, or local contacts.
YAKA Island Product Sales
* Support sales of YAKA Island branded products, including guest merchandise, travel essentials, toiletries, candles, tote bags, tumblers, and other products.
* Promote products to guests, local partners, shops, tourist outlets, and relevant businesses.
* Identify potential sales points such as cafes, boutiques, hotels, tourist shops, and partner locations.
* Track product enquiries, orders, payments, delivery status, and customer feedback.
Partnerships & Reporting
* Build relationships with tour operators, tuk-tuk drivers, taxi providers, cafes, restaurants, tourist attractions, and local service providers.
* Maintain sales, landlord, partner, and tourism location trackers.
* Prepare weekly updates on leads, sales, catalogue progress, and partnership opportunities.
* Coordinate with the YAKA operations, creative, finance, and web teams when required.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, tourism, administration, real estate, or business development is preferred.
* Good communication skills in Sinhala and basic English.
* Confident speaking with property owners, suppliers, partners, and customers.
* Strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail.
* Comfortable using WhatsApp, email, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and online research tools.
* Interest in travel, tourism, hospitality, and Sri Lankan culture.
* Ability to work independently and manage daily targets.
* Must be based in or able to commute reliably to Horana.
* Willingness to travel locally for meetings, property visits, or tourism research when required.
Compensation
The role includes a fixed gross salary of LKR 40,000 per month plus performance-based commission or bonus. Commission may be linked to successful landlord onboarding, approved tourism catalogue entries, YAKA Island product sales, and new local partnerships.
