Boutique villa in Peradeniya, Kandy, hosting international guests from around the world. We're launching a new restaurant featuring pizza and creative dishes — and we need someone to help bring it to life.
What you'll do:
- Assist with food preparation for villa guests and the new restaurant.
- Help prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
- Learn and prepare pizza, pasta, and other dishes as the menu develops.
- Keep the kitchen spotless — cleaning as you go, every surface, every time.
- Wash, store, and organise kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Manage stock rotation, ingredient storage, and freshness (FIFO).
- Support the head chef/cook with mise en place, plating, and service.
Help develop new dishes — we want someone who brings ideas, not just follows instructions.
What we're looking for:
- Kitchen experience (hotel, restaurant, café, or catering)
- Obsessively clean and organised — hygiene is non-negotiable
- Creative and curious about food — you enjoy trying new things
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Willingness to learn pizza making, Western dishes, and new techniques
- Good English is a plus (our guests are international)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work morning and evening shifts
- Overseas kitchen experience is a bonus but not required
