Job Title: Receptionist

Job Summary:
As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and ensuring smooth operational processes. You will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, including handling check-ins and check-outs, maintaining accurate financial records, and managing daily expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
Check-In and Check-Out:
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
Efficiently handle the check-in and check-out process using the hotel management system.
Verify guest information and payment methods to ensure accuracy.
Accounting Duties:
Maintain an accurate record of all financial transactions during your shift.
Assist in preparing daily financial reports for management review.
Process payments, refunds, and adjustments as necessary, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Expense Management:
Track and report daily expenses related to front desk operations.
Monitor inventory levels of supplies and reorder when necessary while keeping detailed records of expenses.
Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure timely reconciliation of financial records.
Customer Service:
Address guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
Provide information on hotel services, local attractions, and travel arrangements.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the hotel’s policies and procedures.
Administrative Support:
Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining guest records.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing reservations.
Support management with any additional administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office and hotel management software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Fluency in English and Sinhala/Tamil is preferred.
