We are looking for a versatile and hands-on Mechatronics Technician/Engineer to join our team as an independent consultor (freelance). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hardware assembly and system configuration. You will be responsible for the physical preparation of electronic components, sourcing and validating equivalent parts for existing designs, and the setup and integration of smart home (domotics) systems.
The ideal candidate does not need to be a senior circuit designer but must have a solid "technical intuition" and a foundational understanding of how electronic systems interact.
Key Responsibilities
Electronic Assembly: Perform high-quality soldering and wiring of PCB components and cable harnesses.
Component Sourcing & Validation: Identify and "homologate" electronic components (finding suitable replacements or equivalents for existing designs based on spec sheets).
Domotics Setup: Configure and prepare smart home controllers, sensors, and actuators for deployment.
System Integration: Assist in linking various hardware platforms and ensuring communication between different automated systems.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct basic functional tests on assembled units to ensure they meet quality standards before installation.
Requirements & Skills
- Educational Background: Degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field.
- Hands-on Experience: Proficiency with soldering stations, multimeters, and basic hand tools.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read schematics and understand technical datasheets (to compare component tolerances, voltages, etc.).
- Smart Home Familiarity (preferable not a must): Basic knowledge of domotics protocols (e.g., Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, or KNX) and integration platforms.
- Detail-Oriented: A methodical approach to hardware testing and component organization.
- Language: Advance English preferable technical English (complete communication is a must).
