Vedic Glow Panchakarma & Wellness Resort | Avissawella
Vedic Glow Panchakarma & Wellness Resort is a boutique Ayurvedic wellness resort in Avissawella, preparing to welcome our first guests. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
*Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen.
*Plan and prepare healthy, fresh and well-presented meals.
*Work closely with the Ayurvedic doctors to prepare meals according to guests’ *wellness programs and dietary requirements.
*Supervise and guide kitchen staff.
*Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
*Manage food stocks, ingredients and minimize wastage.
*Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
*Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
*Maintain proper kitchen safety and hygiene procedures.
Requirements
*Previous experience as a Chef, preferably in a hotel, resort or wellness property.
*Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
*Experience in healthy, wellness or Ayurvedic cuisine will be an added advantage.
*Good leadership and team-management skills.
*Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety.
*Creative, organized and able to work under pressure.
*Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
