Assistant Manager HR - reporting to Director - HR
Role Overview
Responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of HR functions across the restaurant chain, ensuring smooth HR operations, employee welfare, compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws, and driving people-centered initiatives that strengthen organizational culture and performance.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations, Administration, Recruitment & Onboarding
- Oversee attendance, payroll, leave, and employee to ensure compliance with EPF, ETF, and statutory requirements.
- Manage documentation and manpower planning with operations.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment including interviews, background checks, and onboarding process.
Employee Relations, Welfare & Facilities Management
- Foster a positive workplace culture through communication and engagement.
- Manage grievances, discipline, and recognition programs.
- Oversee staff accommodation, meals, uniforms, and transport.
- Coordinate welfare, recreational, and team-building activities.
Performance Management, Training & Development
- Drive performance evaluation systems and support outlet reviews.
- Identify improvement areas and implement development actions.
- Identify and coordinate internal and external training programs.
Strategic HR, Policy & Compliance
- Implement and update HR policies, SOPs, and audits for compliance.
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy and prepare analytical HR reports.
- Assist with manpower planning for expansion, budgeting, and policy initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or related field; CIPM/PQHRM preferred.
- 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, with 2+ years in a leadership / supervisory role.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail industry.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office.

- Working hours - 8.30am to 5.30pm
