Job Description
Janajaya Coconut Products (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the accounting and finance functions of our coconut oil manufacturing operation and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain daily accounting records and bookkeeping.
Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and bank reconciliations.
Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
Record and monitor purchases, sales, inventory, and production-related expenses.
Assist in payroll preparation and statutory payments.
Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, and other relevant parties when required.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
Part qualification in AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
Previous experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
