WE’RE HIRING: ART DIRECTOR
The Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science — CAGS is looking for a talented and experienced Art Director to lead the visual direction of our brand, campaigns, digital content, creative projects Advertising, and Marketing.
We are seeking a strong creative thinker who can transform ideas into sophisticated, engaging, and commercially effective visual communication.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop creative concepts for advertising, social media, course promotions, print, digital, photography, and video
* Maintain a consistent and professional CAGS brand identity
* Lead and guide graphic designers, photographers, videographers, editors, and creative suppliers
* Create campaign layouts, mood boards, storyboards, and presentation concepts
* Direct gemstone, jewellery, student, and promotional photography
* Review and approve all artwork before publication or production
* Work closely with marketing, academic, admissions, and management teams
* Turn technical and educational information into attractive, easy-to-understand creative content
* Ensure projects are completed to a high standard and delivered on time
We’re Looking For
* 3 years of experience in graphic design, advertising, branding, or creative direction
* Previous experience as an Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer, or Creative Lead
* A strong portfolio of branding, campaigns, digital content, social media, print, photography, or video work
* Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
* Knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects, Figma, Canva, Lightroom, or AI design tools is an advantage
* Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and project-management skills
* A strong eye for detail, typography, layout, colour, and visual storytelling
* Interest in education, gemstones, jewellery, luxury branding, and Sri Lanka’s gem industry
