About the role
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and trial balance
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Monitor company expenses and ensure proper cost control
Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
• Process supplier payments and maintain vendor records
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
Banking & Reconciliation
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Handle banking transactions and coordinate with banks
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and identify variances
Taxation & Compliance
• Prepare and submit VAT, NBT, and other statutory filings
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan tax regulations and accounting standards
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce
OR
• Professional qualification (AAT / CMA / ACCA / CIMA – partly
🔹 Experience & Skills
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and time management skills
