SENIOR EXECUTIVE - ACCOUNTANT
Job Role
• Accurately record all financial transactions and ensure proper classification in line with accounting ractices.
• Coordinate month-end/year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with statutory and internal requirements.
• Analyze financial performance, variances, and support management reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Liaise with external/internal auditors and ensure full compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and control accounts; investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, apply depreciation policies, and monitor asset additions/disposals.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing historical data and trend analysis.
• Support internal control measures and recommend process improvements in financial operations.
Qualifications
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Full qualification in ACCA, CIMA, CA, AAT, or similar recognized professional body.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Relevant experience in accounts payable/receivable
• Knowledge of double-entry accounting
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Bank reconciliation procedures
• Tax & Statutory Knowledge
• Cash flow tracking and petty cash management
