For a Trainee Electronic Technician – Laboratory Equipment Service & Repair, the following basic qualifications are suitable:
Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level (Science, Technology, or Mathematics stream preferred) or G.C.E. Ordinary Level with a recognized technical qualification.
Certificate, Diploma, or NVQ in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of electronic circuits, electrical measurements, and troubleshooting.
Ability to use basic test instruments such as a digital multimeter, oscilloscope (preferred), and soldering equipment.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office and Windows).
Good English reading skills to understand equipment manuals and technical documents.
Willingness to travel throughout Sri Lanka for equipment installation and service.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid Sri Lankan motorcycle or motor vehicle driving licence (preferred).
Strong willingness to learn, honesty, discipline, and a customer-focused attitude.
Additional advantages:
Experience in servicing laboratory, medical, or analytical instruments.
Knowledge of networking, software installation, or calibration.
Fresh school leavers or newly qualified technicians with a strong interest in electronics are encouraged to apply.
