Swedish Walls Hostel – Katunayake

Swedish Walls Hostel is looking for a responsible, organized, and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Hostel Supervisor at our Katunayake property.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring the premises are maintained properly, residents are supported, and all operational activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the hostel and ensure smooth functioning of the property.

Attend to residents’ inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Monitor room occupancy, check-ins, check-outs, and resident records.

Ensure hostel rules, regulations, and company procedures are properly followed.

Supervise housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance, and general upkeep of the premises.

Regularly inspect rooms, common areas, washrooms, and other facilities to maintain cleanliness and quality standards.

Coordinate with maintenance personnel and external service providers when repairs or improvements are required.

Monitor utility usage and report any unusual issues relating to electricity, water, plumbing, or other facilities.

Maintain proper records of hostel-related payments, expenses, inventory, and operational requirements where required.

Ensure the safety and security of residents and the hostel premises.

Monitor access to the property and immediately report any security or operational concerns to management.

Handle resident complaints professionally and escalate serious matters to management when necessary.

Coordinate with the management of Swedish Walls regarding occupancy, maintenance, staff requirements, and other operational matters.

Provide regular updates and reports regarding the overall condition and performance of the hostel.

Assist management in maintaining a comfortable, safe, clean, and well-managed living environment for all residents.
