About Creator Space Studio
Creator Space Studio is a multi-use creative studio space in Nugegoda, built for photo and video productions. We rent out fully equipped studio space to photographers, videographers, brands, modeling agencies and content creators, and we take pride in giving every production a smooth, well-supported experience from the moment they arrive to the moment they wrap.
The Role
We're looking for an Intern Studio Assistant to be the first face clients see and the extra pair of hands every production needs on set. You'll help run the studio day to day: welcoming clients, setting up lighting and backdrops, keeping equipment in order, and making sure every shoot runs smoothly from start to finish. It's a hands-on role for someone who wants real, on-set experience in a working studio.
Responsibilities
Client & Guest Experience
• Welcome and greet clients and guests, and help them get settled in the studio
• Manage proper vehicle parking within the studio premises
• Make sure everyone involved in the shoot feels welcome at the studio
• Check in on clients and crew, and arrange refreshments or medicine if required, to make them feel taken care of
• Ensure customers adhere to all studio rules, handling this tactfully so it doesn't disrupt the shoot
• Support a smooth wrap-up at the end of a shoot and a smooth transition between back-to-back bookings
Studio & Equipment Setup
• Set up the lighting required for each shoot based on the photographer's or videographer's brief
• Roll down, change and roll up backdrops, handling them carefully
• Handle all studio equipment, including lighting, triggers, backdrops and other studio property, with care
• Complete an inventory checklist before and after every shoot
• Keep the studio organized, clean and tidy after every shoot
Production & Coordination Support
• Support the production team with any additional assistance needed until the shoot ends
• Coordinate with studio management on shoot start and end times, and on what equipment is rented by the production team

Must-Have
• Strong coordination and self-management skills
• Ability to communicate confidently in both English and Sinhala
• Comfortable referring to the studio's booking schedule
• A pleasant, friendly attitude toward customers
• Genuine attentiveness to guest comfort, proactively checking whether clients need refreshments or medicine
Nice-to-Have
• Ability to produce social media content to help promote the studio
• A habit of recording and sharing behind-the-scenes content with studio management
• An owner's mindset, someone who treats the studio like their own
• Relevant qualifications or training/experience
