We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Sales Assistant to support daily operations in our gems and jewellery showroom. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a pleasant personality, and a passion for gemstones and jewellery. You will assist customers, maintain displays, and help the sales team provide an excellent shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in selecting gemstones and jewellery pieces.
Provide product information and help customers understand gemstone qualities and prices.
Support senior sales executives in preparing quotations and completing sales transactions.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized showroom display.
Handle packaging, billing assistance, and inventory checks.
Keep records of sales, stock, and customer details as required.
Ensure the showroom is always welcoming and presentable.
Build good relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits.
Stay informed about new arrivals and basic gem knowledge through training sessions.
Requirements:
Previous experience in retail or jewellery sales is an advantage (but not mandatory).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pleasant personality with a professional and helpful attitude.
Good teamwork and willingness to learn.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office / POS system).
Fluency in English; knowledge of Sinhala, Tamil, or other languages is an added advantage.
