Sapiens is a hospitality and creative experience company in the South of Sri Lanka, operating a 4-star hotel, restaurant and jewelry workshop experiences in Weligama / Hiriketiya.
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager / Head Waiter to take ownership of the daily restaurant service and guest experience.
This is a hands-on management role. We are a small team, so the Restaurant Manager will lead the service while also actively welcoming guests, taking orders and serving tables.
Main responsibilities:
* Lead the daily restaurant service and make sure everything runs smoothly
* Welcome guests, present menus, serve water, take orders and serve tables
* Make sure tables are always clean, properly set and quickly reset
* Ensure every guest receives friendly, attentive and professional service
* Coordinate food and drink orders for customers attending our jewelry workshops
* Make sure workshop guests know about the restaurant and can easily order
* Handle bills, payments and day-to-day customer issues
* Organize, supervise and train the small restaurant team
* Maintain high service standards and improve the overall guest experience
* Proactively solve problems and support the team during busy periods
We are looking for someone who is:
* Fluent in English and very comfortable with international customers
* Experienced in restaurant or hotel service
* Professional, confident and well presented
* Friendly and naturally customer-focused
* Reliable, punctual and highly organized
* Comfortable leading and training a small team
* Hands-on and willing to serve alongside the team
* Proactive and able to take responsibility independently

💰 Fixed salary: LKR 50,000–70,000 per month depending on experience, plus service charge and tips
