We are looking for a motivated and organised **Paid Intern – Office Administrator** to support our day-to-day office, guest, operations, and administrative activities from our Horana office.
## Role Overview
This internship is ideal for someone who wants to gain practical experience in office administration, hospitality operations, guest coordination, documentation, and business support. The successful candidate will work closely with the YAKA team and support daily operational activities across reservations, guest communication, office records, supplier coordination, and internal administration.
## Key Responsibilities
* Support daily office administration and documentation.
* Maintain organised physical and digital records.
* Assist with guest reservation records, check-in/check-out information, and booking updates.
* Support communication with guests, suppliers, cleaners, maintenance teams, and internal staff.
* Help prepare basic reports, trackers, checklists, and operational updates.
* Assist with filing invoices, receipts, supplier documents, and payment records.
* Support inventory tracking for linen, toiletries, guest essentials, and office supplies.
* Help coordinate cleaning schedules, maintenance requests, and property readiness checks.
* Assist with updating internal spreadsheets and business records.
* Support social media, website, and property listing administration where required.
* Help ensure office processes are followed accurately and on time.
* Carry out general administrative tasks assigned by the management team.
## Required Skills & Attributes
* Good communication skills in Sinhala and basic English.
* Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and mobile apps.
* Organised, reliable, and willing to learn.
* Good attention to detail.
* Professional attitude when dealing with guests, staff, and suppliers.
* Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time.
* Positive attitude and interest in hospitality, business, or administration.
* Must be based in or able to commute reliably to Horana.
## Qualifications
* Suitable for school leavers, university students, diploma students, or recent graduates.
* Studies in business administration, accounting, hospitality, tourism, IT, or management would be an advantage.
* Previous work experience is not essential, but the candidate must be responsible, punctual, and eager to learn.
