Content Strategist - Creator

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Machinery Content Presenter role based in Colombo. The primary responsibility is to present machinery and equipment in front of the camera through informative and engaging videos.

The presenter will explain how each machine works, its key features, customer benefits, suitable applications, and the business opportunities it can create. This may include explaining how customers can use the machinery to start a new business, increase production, reduce manual work, improve product quality, or expand an existing operation.

The presenter will work closely with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to understand each machine before producing content. Responsibilities include researching products, preparing video scripts and talking points, presenting product demonstrations, and ensuring all technical information communicated is accurate and easy to understand.

Content may be created for social media, advertisements, product demonstrations, educational videos, and other digital marketing channels. The role may also involve assisting with content planning, product photography, voice-overs, captions, and reviewing completed videos.

Key Responsibilities

• Present and explain industrial machinery confidently in front of the camera.

• Demonstrate how machines operate and explain their features and benefits.

• Explain potential business opportunities and income-generating applications associated with each machine.

• Convert technical information into simple, clear, and engaging explanations.

• Research machinery, customer needs, market trends, and potential product applications.

• Prepare scripts, presentation outlines, and talking points for videos.

• Work with technical staff to verify machine specifications and operating procedures.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan social media videos, advertisements, and promotional campaigns.

• Assist with product demonstrations, voice-overs, captions, and other content-related activities.

• Maintain a professional, confident, and approachable on-camera presence.

• Follow all operating and safety instructions when demonstrating machinery.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Confidence and comfort when speaking in front of a camera.

• Ability to explain technical information in a simple, persuasive, and • understandable manner.

• Fluency in Sinhala is preferred, with good English communication skills. Tamil communication skills would be an advantage.

• Interest in machinery, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and business opportunities.

• Willingness to learn how different machines work and understand their commercial applications.

• Previous experience in content creation, video presenting, sales, marketing, or product demonstrations is an advantage but not essential.

• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and short-form video content is advantageous.

• Ability to prepare and follow scripts while maintaining a natural presentation style.

• Strong research, organization, creativity, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work on-site in Colombo and collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams

• (Optional) A relevant degree or professional qualification is advantageous but not compulsory; practical ability, communication skills, and confidence are more important.
