Job Summary :
We are looking for experienced and motivated Chef de Parties to join our kitchen team. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing a specific kitchen section, preparing high-quality dishes, and supporting smooth kitchen operations while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Take full responsibility for an assigned kitchen section (e.g., Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Pastry, Tandoor, etc.)
• Prepare, cook, and present food according to hotel standards and recipes
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety (HACCP)
• Monitor food quality and freshness at all times
• Assist in stock control, proper storage, and minimizing food waste
• Follow all health, safety, and hotel kitchen procedures
• Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth service
• Assist in menu preparation and daily mise-en-place
Requirements & Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Commis Chef
• Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts (preferred but not mandatory )
• Knowledge of Sri Lankan/Chinese , Indian and international cuisine.
• Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
