Ensure company operations comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations (e.g., FMCSA, DOT, OSHA).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and communicate updates to management and staff.
Prepare for internal and external audits; coordinate responses to regulatory inspections.
Oversee driver qualification files (DQFs), including background checks, medical certifications, and license monitoring.
Monitor driver hours of service (HOS) and ELD compliance; investigate and resolve violations.
Schedule and track drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, random, post-accident).
Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs for drivers and staff.
Conduct safety briefings, orientation sessions, and ongoing refresher courses.
Promote a strong safety culture through regular communication and engagement.
