About Hazel Café & Cakery
Hazel Café & Cakery is a growing café focused on quality coffee, fresh food, and excellent customer experience. We are looking for a responsible, hands-on Assistant Manager / Manager who can actively manage operations, lead staff, and maintain high service standards.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of daily operations and ensure the café runs efficiently at all times.
Responsibilities
Employee must:
Oversee and supervise daily café operations
Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained
Supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff
Manage staff attendance, punctuality, and shift coordination
Monitor inventory and stock usage and report shortages
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
Ensure staff follow standard operating procedures
Support improvements in efficiency, cost control, and service quality
Assist with basic reporting and operational coordination
Requirements
Candidates must:
Have previous experience in café, restaurant, or hospitality operations
Be fluent in spoken English and able to communicate clearly with customers
Demonstrate strong leadership and staff supervision ability
Be responsible, organized, and proactive
Be able to manage pressure during busy service periods
Have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience with coffee service or barista operations is an advantage
