Duties of an Accounts Executive
1. Financial Recording & Ledger Management
• Oversee and ensure accurate recording of daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses)
• Maintain and review ledgers and journals for accuracy and completeness
• Manage and optimize accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ODOO)
2. Invoice & Billing Management
• Supervise preparation and issuance of customer invoices
• Review and validate supplier invoices prior to payment approval
• Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
• Manage and monitor accounts payable and ensure timely supplier settlements
• Oversee accounts receivable and enforce credit control procedures
• Review and analyze aging reports, highlighting risks to management
4. Bank & Cash Flow Management
• Perform and review bank reconciliations for accuracy
• Monitor cash positions and manage petty cash controls
• Prepare and analyze daily/weekly cash flow reports and forecasts
5. Financial Documentation & Audit Support
• Ensure proper maintenance of financial records (physical & digital)
• Verify completeness of all supporting documents (invoices, vouchers, receipts)
7. 📋 Compliance & Taxation
• Ensure compliance with VAT, SVAT, and other statutory requirements
• Prepare and review tax-related documentation and submissions
🔹 Additional Responsibilities
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, and internal departments
• Oversee stock and account reconciliations
• Support procurement processes and cost monitoring
• Assist in improving financial processes and internal controls
🔹 Key Skills Required
• Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of financial processes
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency Quick Books and ODOO
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and coordination abilities
