We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant (Trainee) to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting their accounting career, with full training provided and exposure to Australian clients.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Sri Lankan Time)
Fully remote (work from home) with some flexibility
About the Role
You will support our accounting team in delivering services to Australian clients. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and build practical experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with monthly bookkeeping tasks
* Support preparation of tax returns and working papers
* Maintain accurate financial records
* Perform data entry and reconciliations
* Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
* Work collaboratively with the team and follow instructions
Requirements
* Studying accounting or completed relevant accounting studies
* Strong English skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking)
* Basic understanding of accounting principles
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Familiarity with MYOB or Xero
* Any prior bookkeeping exposure (not required)
