✨ ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Qualified Accountant with specific experience in the UK charity sector to join our growing UK Accounting Team.
📌 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✅ Prepare charity accounts according to Charities SORP 2026
✅ Prepare Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA)
✅ Support Trustees’ Annual Report preparation
✅ Manage restricted, unrestricted & designated funds
✅ Handle grant income recognition
✅ Process & reconcile Gift Aid claims
✅ Assess independent examination & statutory audit requirements
✅ Prepare Charity Commission & Companies House filings
✅ Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations & management reporting
✅ Liaise with UK charity clients & trustees
✅ Stay updated with charity accounting & governance requirements
🎓 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
✅ Degree in Accounting & Finance or related field
✅ Qualified Accountant – ACCA / CIMA / ACA/ICAEW / CA Sri Lanka
✅ 2–3 years’ experience working with UK charities in an accounting/practice environment
