POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a reliable Night Shift Assistant to help with our weekend evening service. This part-time role supports simple food assembly, light cooking on the griddle, and general kitchen organization during our busiest nights.
You’ll work directly with the owner as part of a small, friendly team to keep service running smoothly.
This is a Friday–Sunday night position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Assembly & Light Cooking
Assemble simple food items according to Papita’s standards
Operate the griddle and assist with basic preparation during service
Portion, warm, and hand over items quickly and consistently
Customer Support
Assist with handing out orders and interacting with guests
Help maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
Communicate clearly with the owner and team during busy periods
Kitchen Support & Hygiene
Refill ingredients and restock stations during service
Maintain clean, organized, and hygienic work areas throughout the shift
Assist with basic end-of-night cleaning and closing tasks
General Expectations
Support wherever needed to keep service flowing smoothly
Maintain a professional, clean personal appearance while on shift
Occasionally assist with small errands or quick supply pickups
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Some experience in food service, kitchen prep, or fast-paced hospitality
Reliable, punctual, and able to handle weekend night shifts
Comfortable working in a small team and taking direction
Ability to stay calm and steady during busy periods
Good communication skills and willingness to learn
Commitment to maintaining hygiene and cleanliness
Spoken English
Preferred:
Prior customer service or guest-facing experience
Experience assembling or serving food items
Familiarity with simple griddle or basic kitchen equipment
