POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Morning Prep Assistant to support the early kitchen setup at Papita’s. This is a hands-on part-time role that involves preparing ingredients, assembling simple food items, and keeping the morning workflow organized and efficient.
You’ll work closely with the owner and Senior Shift Leader as part of a small, friendly team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Morning Prep & Assembly
Prepare, portion, and organize ingredients for daily use
Assemble simple food items according to Papita’s standards
Support basic griddle prep (light tasks only)
Keep prep surfaces clean and organized
Kitchen Support
Wash, chop, or arrange ingredients as directed
Restock containers, supplies, and prep stations
Assist with packaging or plating when needed
General Tasks
Help with light cleaning and dishwashing
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in all work areas
Occasionally assist with small errands or pickups
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Some experience in a food service or kitchen prep environment
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage morning tasks independently once trained
Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team
Good attention to detail and consistency
Ability to learn quickly and keep a steady pace during morning prep
Spoken English
Preferred:
Experience assembling food items in a fast-paced environment
Basic ingredient handling or simple knife skills
Familiarity with maintaining cleanliness and organization in a kitchen setting
WORK SCHEDULE
Part-time morning position (20-25 hours)
