You travel often.
This convertible car seat only weighs 11 pounds. It's a long-lasting option that will fit most kids until 6-7+ years of age. It works well forward-facing on any airplane seats that have movable armrests. For the rear-facing mode, you may need seats with more legroom than the economy seats offer.
You want to use a convertible seat from birth.
We were able to try a 5-day-old baby in the Evenflo Titan 65. At birth, she was 7.5 pounds, 20.5 inches. Her fit was excellent. This seat does have a 19" minimum height limit, so that's something to be mindful of if you are planning to use it from birth. We had to use the shorter harness loops and use the newborn crotch buckle setting for a proper fit. But these adjustments were easy to make. Baby's head positioning here is perfect. It's important to remember that you a baby's head does not need to be immobilized. Do not be tempted to add extra padding around a newborn's head.
Your vehicle has non-removable headrests.
This seat will work well in most vehicles, even the ones with non-removable forward-tilting headrests.
You have a tall child.
As mentioned previously, if you are looking for a convertible car seat that fits tall children, this is a great option. It works best for the kids who are tall and thin. Kids who are higher percentile for weight may run out of harness length before meeting one of the max limits of the seat.
