Job Title: Pharmaceutical Item Store Assistant
Job Summary
The Pharmaceutical Item Store Assistant supports the daily operations of a pharmaceutical store by managing inventory, receiving and issuing medical items, maintaining proper storage conditions, and ensuring accurate records. The role is critical in supporting pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure safe, timely, and compliant availability of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, check, and store pharmaceutical items, medical supplies, and consumables according to SOPs
Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies or damaged goods
Maintain proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness, FIFO/FEFO)
Issue pharmaceutical items based on authorized requisitions
Assist with stock counts, inventory audits, and expiry tracking
Label, organize, and shelve items accurately
Maintain inventory records (manual or computerized systems)
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Assist in disposal of expired or damaged items following approved procedures
Keep the store area clean, orderly, and secure
Coordinate with pharmacists, procurement, and other departments as needed
