Job Vacancy – 1st Commis Pastry Chef

We are expanding our Pastry & Bakery operations and seeking a talented, motivated, and disciplined 1st Commis Pastry Chef to join our growing team. If you are passionate about pastry production and eager to develop your skills in a professional environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in daily pastry production including cakes, pastries, desserts, muffins, cookies, and specialty items
Prepare ingredients, follow recipes, measure accurately, and maintain consistency in product quality
Support Pastry Chef with preparation, baking, decorating, and packaging
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation in the pastry kitchen at all times
Handle equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.
Follow SOPs, portion sizes, and quality standards
Assist in stock rotation (FIFO), storage, labeling, and requisitions
Ensure timely production for café, delivery, catering, and special orders
Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years experience in a pastry or bakery environment
Knowledge of basic pastry techniques (creaming, whipping, folding, piping, glazing, etc.)
Ability to work under pressure and maintain standards during peak production
Good teamwork, discipline, and communication skills
Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Ability to work flexible hours when required
