Job Description
As an All-Rounder, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the hostel, ensuring cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and smooth service across different areas, including the kitchen, front desk, and common areas. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Support: Assist with basic food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
Cleaning & Maintenance: Regularly clean hostel rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure a high standard of hygiene.
Guest Services: Assist at the front desk during check-in/check-out, provide information about local attractions, and support guests with any requests. (Basic English communication is required for this).
Guest Interaction: Be friendly and approachable to guests, helping them feel at home and offering assistance when needed.
Stocking & Inventory: Help manage hostel supplies (linen, toiletries, cleaning products) and restock when necessary.
General Support: Assist in any other tasks required by the hostel manager, including special events, tours, or maintenance.
Skills & Qualifications
Language: Basic English proficiency is essential. Knowledge of any additional languages is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in a hostel, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
Flexibility: Willingness to assist in a variety of tasks as required and work as part of a team.
Positive Attitude: Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as cleaning and organizing.
Reliability: Punctual, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining a high level of hygiene and guest service.
Working Conditions
Hours: Shift-based work including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
