## Job Description
Book Paradise is looking for a motivated and experienced **Book Shop Manager** to oversee the daily operations of our bookstore. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to manage a team effectively while achieving sales targets.
## Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the book shop.
* Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team.
* Ensure excellent customer service and a pleasant shopping experience.
* Monitor sales performance and achieve monthly sales targets.
* Manage inventory, stock control, and product ordering.
* Handle cash management, billing, and daily sales reporting.
* Plan and implement promotions and in-store activities.
* Maintain proper visual merchandising and store standards.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
* Ensure the store is clean, organized, and professionally maintained.
## Requirements
* Minimum **1–2 years of experience** in retail or shop management. Bookstore experience will be an added advantage.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication skills in **Sinhala and English**.
* Good knowledge and interest in books and reading.
* Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office.
* Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Positive attitude with a customer-focused approach.
