Assistant Accountant

Company Overview:

We are a growing multi-outlet tea and ice cream shop committed to delivering exceptional beverages . We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant cum Cost Control Manager to join our team. This role blends traditional accounting with cost control, ensuring all our outlets operate efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance

* Maintain accurate books of accounts for all outlets, including sales, purchases, expenses, and petty cash.

* Reconcile daily sales from POS, delivery platforms, cash, and card collections with bank deposits.

* Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports (P&L by outlet, cash flow statements).

* Manage supplier invoices, payments, and credit.

* Assist in payroll processing and statutory compliance (EPF/ETF, taxes, etc.).

Cost Control & Analysis

* Track beverage materials cost percentage (COGS) daily/weekly across all outlets.

* Work with outlet team leaders to monitor usage, wastage, and pilferage.

* Standardize recipe costing and update price cards for all menu items.

* Identify variances between budgeted and actual food costs and recommend corrective actions.

* Implement measures to reduce wastage and improve margins.

Reporting & Systems

* Implement cost control systems for purchasing, inventory, and portioning.

* Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile with records.

* Present actionable insights to management on profitability, cost leaks, and operational efficiency.

* Ensure compliance with internal financial SOPs and audit requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Part or fully qualified in Accounting (CIMA, ACCA, AAT, CA, CMA, or equivalent).

* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in food & beverage, restaurant chains(kfc, pizza hut, dominos or hotels.

* Proven track record in materials cost control, recipe costing, and inventory management.

* Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.

* Experience with POS integrations and delivery platform reconciliations preferred.

* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
