Accountant

𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 : Accountant (Head Office - Colombo)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts.

2. Prepare and submit VAT returns on time, ensuring full compliance with Inland Revenue Department (IRD) regulations.

3. Monitor and maintain accurate general ledger and subsidiary ledger entries.

4. Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.

5. Assist in payroll processing and ensure correct EPF/ETF contributions.

6. Generate monthly and annual financial reports.

7. Assist in preparing for internal and external audits.

8. Monitor and manage company cash flow and budgeting.

9. Maintain up-to-date records for all tax-related matters (VAT, WHT, NBT if applicable).

10. Liaise with banks, tax advisors, and relevant authorities as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting (AAT, CMA, ACCA, or CA Sri Lanka).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.

• Sound knowledge of bank reconciliation and VAT filing procedures in Sri Lanka.

• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Sage).

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and confidentiality.
